Volunteer Guides

A team of 30 volunteers help as guides at the Hospital. They are on duty in 2 shifts 9-4pm. The guides meet and greet patients and relatives at the Main Entrance.

In such a large complex as the Royal United Hospital it is easy to become lost. The guides will help people find where they need to go and are called upon to provide a service which brings benefit to both visitors and patients which can not be provided by paid staff.

The guides are easily recognised as they wear an official Friends blue shirt or sash so you can find them easily.
