Volunteer Facts

• Every year the Friends volunteers give an amazing 37272 hours of their time to the Hospital.

• Every day around 65 volunteers come to the hospital to help out.

• Volunteers even help out on Christmas day in the shop, coffee shop and on the ward serving teas and chatting to patients.

• In the Hospital Shop and Coffee Shop combined volunteers give an amazing 250 hours of their time. The profits raised from both areas pays for patient amenities across the hospital.

• The Friends have been running for 50 years and currently have 300 active volunteers – this may sound a lot but with 21 different teams we need more!
