Current Friends Donations

Here are just a few of the current projects the Friends are working on.

Parents Accommodation in N.I.C.U

Working in collaboration with Forever Friends Appeal the Friends of the RUH have agreed to pay for the parent accommodation in what will be the redeveloped Newborn Intensive Care Unit.

Small Gardens

The Friends have also been working on many of the small gardens around the hospital. The Friends have assisted both financially and with a team of volunteer gardeners. We have also been working along side Hetty Duprey the Arts Manager in the hospital to create better open spaces for patients to enjoy having art and plants to look at.

Teenage Chill out Room

One of the Friends most recent projects was to pay for the refurbishment of the Teenage chill out room in the Children’s ward. This is a quiet space where teenagers can relax in while they are staying in hospital.

Jennifer J Kelley a mural artist gave her time for free in creating a fantastic mural in the room. The Friends paid for her materials.

Pharmacy

Funding for a private area for patients to discuss any problems or issues they may have regarding their medication with the pharmacy Team.

Patient Advice & Liason service

A new office for patient or relatives to discuss any concerns or information they may need in private.
